World Inline Cup Rennes, Ana Odlazek 8th
21. maj 2017
Sunny day in Normandy Rennes and a bit changed circuit from last year awaited the competitors on second race for World Inline Cup. Strong field with a lot of French skaters has meant that peloton was down to best 12 skaters in matter of few laps and the attacks kept the adrenaline high. Ana Odlazek calmly followed and covered attacks with one of her own few laps to go, but it was by then already obvious that group sprint will decide the winner. In last lap we seen an early jump to last climb, which was used as spring board for other competitors and Ana picked the wrong group going uphill so she lost couple of places she could not gain on the downhill to the finish line. She managed to pass 2 more skaters before finish line where she placed 8th overall.
A lot more promising start of the World Inline Cup season for Ana this year, but she is on 20th place overall due to higher number of points available on first race in Incheon.
