We are happy to announce that we will organize halfmarathon event in Ljubljana in 2021. It will be on same iconic route as this time, within the shade of football stadium with a look towards Ljubljana castle. The 4 lane road will be completely closed for traffic allowing skaters to take over. Small incline and descent will add to the interesting course while some high speed tighter turns will also test the technique. Please reserve 15th August for visiting Ljubljana, Slovenia! We managed to organize an event in 2020 under strict Covid rules, so we are confident we will also be able to organize another fantastic and save event in 2021.
Even due to current COVID-19 situation in the World, we have received a green light from authorities to organize Inline speed skating halfmarathon in Ljubljana, capital of the Slovenia. You can check the event on https://halfmarathon.rklj.si . Visit green Ljubljana, with basically no COVID-19 cases and enjoy the perfect weekend getaway among the mountains on a scenic root with Ljubljana castle in the background. For more competitive, of course we will have medals for best skaters, live stream for your friends to watch and some of the best skaters in region on the start line.
Today the race for Austrian Inline Cup in German Munich took place. On halfmarathon distance, best regional skaters competed for the points in the general classification as well as medals. Mens race was won by our Anže Gros, while his brother Gal Gros completed the podium with 3rd place. Great team performance was rounded with 5th placed Peter Korez and 7th Aleš Gros. Women's race was won by our Ana Odlazek.
During the night there were showers in Harbin and 2 hours before the start it was all wet. High temperatures dried the track before the race start so there was no doubt about the wheel choice and tactics. Womens race started very tactically and breakaway was not let go.
