Today the race for Austrian Inline Cup in German Munich took place. On halfmarathon distance, best regional skaters competed for the points in the general classification as well as medals. Mens race was won by our Anže Gros, while his brother Gal Gros completed the podium with 3rd place. Great team performance was rounded with 5th placed Peter Korez and 7th Aleš Gros. Women's race was won by our Ana Odlazek.
During the night there were showers in Harbin and 2 hours before the start it was all wet. High temperatures dried the track before the race start so there was no doubt about the wheel choice and tactics. Womens race started very tactically and breakaway was not let go.

Sunny day in Normandy Rennes and a bit changed circuit from last year awaited the competitors on second race for World Inline Cup. Strong field with a lot of French skaters has meant that peloton was down to best 12 skaters in matter of few laps and the attacks kept the adrenaline high. Ana Odlazek calmly followed and covered attacks with one of her own few laps to go, but it was by then already obvious that group sprint will decide the winner. In last lap we seen an early jump to last climb, which was used as spring board for other competitors and Ana picked the wrong group going uphill so she lost couple of places she could not gain on the downhill to the finish line. She managed to pass 2 more skaters before finish line where she placed 8th overall.
As a first Slovenian to get on podium on overall classificaion of World Inline Cup, Ana Odlazek stepped on 2nd step on the award ceremony after Berlin marathon. Her performances during the season were consistent enough to put her ahead of the 3rd place, but not perfect enough to get close to 1st place. However 2nd place in general classification of World Inline Cup for Ana Odlazek is achievement nobody in Slovenia dared to dream before start of the 2016 season. All club members and supporters are very proud of Ana's achievement which puts Slovenia high on inline speed skating map.
