Ana Odlazek will race in World Inline Cup in season 2016 and first European race was in Rennes. Heavy rain and hard 2.3km circuit meant for a hard race without a strong team attacks kept going and were caught. Ana Odlazek held the main peloton until 2 laps to go, when for a brief moment she lost contact and even though she reached the peloton she wasted too much energy to contest in final sprint. She finished 8th, right after main bunch.
German Inline Cup is still very prestigious event and this year our competitors have taken few more races from it to get a good feeling. And it really was a good feeling as Ana Odlazek finished 7th, although he did not go to all races, Tadeja Donko finished 20th with even less races raced. On men team Peter Korez was 98th (raced on just 2 races), while others raced just Berlin marathon and were ranked lower.
Ana Odlazek has finished 5th on last race for Austrian Inline Cup on Salzburg-ring and this was not enough to pass Sussane Fuchs on first spot for general classification of Austrain Inline Cup.
Ana Odlazek has finished 2nd in Linz this year where first three competitors were a skating frame apart on finish line. Tadeja Donko competed our club success with winning the main peloton sprint and ending 9th in absolute women rankings. This year also men did improve a lot, with Peter Korez finishing 14th and Grega Jancigar 31st, while Crt Mori (71st) and Jure Likar (100th), provided some support on start.
First-hand experience post of roller Le Mans 24 hours 2014 by Crt Mori:
I was the whole support team for a solo competitor Peter Korez, who represented our club Rolerski klub Ljubljana on 24 hour roller Le Mans race. It rained almost entire race, so my tasks in pits really increased. I will more focus on my work during the 24 hours race in this post, but Peter did great job as he ended 23rd in Solo Category with amazing 72 laps and 301 km made. He was first Slovenian ever to finish 24h Solo Le Mans and first Slovenian ever to go over 200 km on inline skates, which are both achievements that will stand for some time (although they were achieved in rain).
